SATE Thermal Insulation System
To improve the building efficency and comfort AGGSA offers thermal insulation systems. It consists in installing thermal insulation on the exterior walls of a building. This technique improves the thermal performance and also it generates a huge energy saving.
Concrete Treatment
Concrete alkalinity offers a protection for the armature when it gets corrosion, called passivation. But this alkalinity starts to decrease over time, caused by the carbonation process. Carbonation is produced by a CO2 reaction , from the atmosphere and the concrete.
Carbonated, the concrete has no protection and in contact with humidity and rains, the armature oxidises. When it oxidise, its volume increases, making the concrete crack and it detaches.
This process accelerates when the concrete is very porous or it has a small cover in the armature (less than 2cm).
You can see the consequences on the balconies and decoration elements where the coating detaches and the armature gets exposed.
